These activities are not mandatory and members are free to participate in the activities they see fit. The figure below represents a menu of suggested GPS-BIOMED activities and illustrates how these events correspond to PhD & Postdoctoral training. Most events are offered during lunch and evening hours.

Entrepreneurship for Scientists and Engineers (Winter, 2 hr/speaker, 16 hr/course)
Interview Skills Bootcamp (Quarterly, 6 hr)
Grad Division: Communication Excellence Program (Quarterly, 16 hr). NEW: In Summer of 2017, GPS-BIOMED will host our own section of Communication Excellence taught by Bri McWhorter!

Numerous internship opportunities are available to biomedical graduate students within a variety of companies and nonprofit organizations. If you are interested in participating in an internship during your time as a graduate student or postdoc, please discuss your intentions with your faculty advisor and make an appointment with GPS-BIOMED and/or Career Center.
